My St. Patrick’s Day Tree. Who Says Trees are Just for Christmas?

My St. Patrick’s Day Tree. Who Says Trees are Just for Christmas?

Did you know that immediately after Christmas, artificial trees go on sale for up to 80% off? So make plans this December to go out shopping a couple of days after Christmas to snag a mini tree. Or two. Or five, like I once did. Since St. Patrick’s Day is my 2nd favorite holiday, this year I created a mini St Patrick’s Day tree. Being more Irish than any other ancestry, I love St. Patrick’s Day. The holiday makes me feel closer to my people across the pond.

Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day With Healthy Green Food

Less than one month until St. Patrick’s Day, when sweet little Irish leprechauns will sneak into your house, make a mess and leave you chocolate. St. Patrick’s Day is kinda a big deal in my house. Not because we are Catholic, but because I am Irish. A set of my 3rd great grandparents on my mom’s side both came to American from Ireland when they were children in the mid-1800’s. My Family Kidnapped St. Patrick

True story. For reals. If you’ve been reading my blog for long, you know that I am oddly obsessed with St. Patrick’s Day and all things Irish. Because a woman can only trace her maternal side, in order to…

Rainbows of Food

I warned you all that my blog was going to be flourishing with St. Patty’s Day ideas, huh. Oops, St PATRICK’S Day. My son does not like it when I shorten it to Patty’s 🙂 Rainbows are a huge part of the St. Patrick’s Day fun due to the enchanted idea that if you can just follow a rainbow to its end, you will locate a leprechaun’s hidden pot of gold. The leprechaun is then supposed to award you 3 wishes. What would you wish for? My 9 year old son said he’d only need one wish and he’d ask for…

Leprechaun Hat Cookies

Remember the other day when I shared our spread of green healthy food? We are going in a different direction today! Sugar, sugar, sugar! Today we are going to load ourselves up with sugar with these adorable leprechaun hats. All that you need is a package of Oreos, green candy melts, large marshmallows, and some royal icing (not pictured). The sprinkles are not really necessary, but they do make the hats cuter. Melt the candy melts in a double broiler, but be extra careful not to get even a tiny drop of water into the candy or you’ll ruin the…
